Police Officer Lateral Position
The Euclid Police Department will accept applications and resumes for the position of Police Officer, Lateral Entry, beginning January 2, 2012.
The Euclid Police Department offers career track opportunities in areas as various as Patrol, Detectives, Narcotics & Vice, Emergency Response Team (SWAT), Crisis Negotiations, Traffic Division, K-9 Unit, and Community Policing, as well as opportunities for promotion, and a competitive compensation package of $56,763.87 (at appointment) to $63,229.29 (Police Officer, 1st class), with excellent benefits.
Applicants must be currently employed as a Police Officer (“Law Enforcement Officer” as defined by the Ohio Revised Code) or have been laid off from such a position within the past year, and have a minimum of three consecutive years full-time experience. Applicants must possess current and valid OPOTA training certificate. Out-of-State officers may apply, but must provide OPOTA letter establishing training equivalency prior to appointment. Successful applicants will join the department as a Police Officer, 3rd class.
Physical Agility testing will be required of those candidates selected for consideration after initial screening.
